Step #1 - Collect images to use

The first step is to find graphics/images that you want to use on your website.

If you already have images on your local computer that you want to use, congratulations you can skip to the next step.

Lets go find some graphics/images on the Internet that you can use.

Step by Step instructions

  • Find a photo/image you want to use on the Internet in your browser
  • Place your cursor over the image, and right-click the mouse
  • A menu will come up with quite a few options
  • Select the "Save Picture As" (Internet Explorer) option
    • For Mozilla this option will read "Save Image As"
  • A file dialog box will come asking where to store the graphic/image on your computer
  • Select a location you will remember and click the Save button
  • Congratulations! You have just saved a graphic/image to the hard drive on your computer.

Anytime you see an image/graphic that you like, follow the instructions above to save it to your computer for later use.

NOTE: Check the copyright on the page where you find the graphic/image to make sure you are allowed to use it. Most scouting organizations will be happy to let you use their graphics. It is polite to ask for though !
