Step #5 - Advanced Image Settings

Now that you know how to add graphics/images to content on your SOAR website, there are some more settings you may want to use to further control the behavior of displayed images.

Go back to the Rich Text Editor for a page. Click the Insert Image button.

The following options are available for your use:

Image URL
You can also type in the web address (URL) of an image already on the Internet. We recommend that you upload any images you want to use directly into your SOAR website though. This way you are guaranteed the image is available for your use. If you link to images on the Internet, they may disappear at some point without your knowledge.
Image description
Whenever you hold your mouse over an image, the description of of the image will display. You can enter that description in this field.
Alignment
This control where the image is placed on the screen. We recommend you stick to the "right" and "left" choices for this setting.
Dimensions
By default the graphic you have used will display full size. If you want to reduce the size of the image for display purposes you can uses this field to do so. The first field is width and the second field is height. Place the value 100 (for pixels) in the second field and see what happens.
Border
You can add a border line around your image. Place an integer number in this field for the width of the border line you would like.
Vertical/Horizontal Space
This defines how much padding (in pixels) is around your image. This will give your image some seperation from the text that is around it. We recommend you use the same number in both fields. Start with the value of 15.

Remember to click the Update button to save your changes.
